THE SPRINGMINE DISASTER and THE
MEAT BOYS deliver the third release on Cassette records, bringing
together pounding drumbeats, dubby electro and demented vocals, the sound of
roaring synthetisers with live basses and cut-up samples. Side A presents "The Legitimate Life Of A Waster"
by THE SPRINGMINE DISASTER, the tangled enigma from East London, an
energetic mid-tempo post-punk track with a strong bass line, twisted synths
and catchy vocals. The Parisian THINK TWICE escape from the F-com
headquarters to provide a “cold-wave meets dancefloor” remix. The flipside gives us "Fireworks" by the Swedish
dance philosopher THE MEAT BOYS, a dubby proto-disco track filled with
reverb and atmosphere. PUNKS JUMP UP bring a more eighties, synth
based version to the dancefloor. Another very strong release for Cassette, which brings, once again, an "Off-The-Beaten-Electro-Tracks" feel to the dancehall. LISTEN The Legitimate Life Of
